Fancy a Drink? Explore Bangkok's Bar Scene

#FindThePhotoBooth

Khlong Toei, Bangkok

If you’re familiar with the masterminds behind The Locker Room, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to hear that they’re back with a new hidden bar, located in Sukhumvit Soi 11. Don’t bother using a GPS to find this place – no navigation tips will come up. But looking for it is half the fun!

Keep your eyes peeled for the second floor of a sports bar adjacent to the Grand President Hotel on Soi 11. Snap a few selfies on the photobooth as you figure out how to enter – and take as many as you like! We recommend coming back for more photos once you’ve had a few drinks.

Two menus are available at #FindThePhotoBooth – a list of classic cocktails, and another full of original Thai creations. Our favorite drink here, Bond Loved Jasmine, is an elegant twist on the iconic Vesper martini –  now mixed with jasmine-infused vermouth and chrysanthemum bitters.

Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar

Bang Rak, Bangkok

High above the ground, Mahanakhon Bangkok SkyBar prides itself as the tallest dining landmark in Thailand. This restaurant-slash-bar promises an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. How does a 5-star culinary experience with a breathtaking view sound to you?

The indoor white marble bar area serves an extensive list of drinks, including over 100 curated wines with an emphasis on natural wines. On the top of our list is their sparkling coffee cocktail; the perfect after-dinner drink, lovingly curated by Swedish mixologists Dannie and Bennie Sorum (the team behind Rocket Coffeebar).

Located on the 76th floor of the King Power Mahanakhon skyscraper, you can catch the sunset here on the glass-paneled floors of the Skywalk. Complimentary free entrance after your meal!

Tropic City

Bang Rak, Bangkok

Thailand’s first tropical cocktail bar exudes chill. Situated in Bangkok’s up & coming Charoen Krung area, you’ll be able to get a taste of high quality, unique concoctions – many inspired by the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Flowery motifs, Portuguese azulejo tiles and mid-century furniture greet you in a tasteful blend of exotic themes. While this bar is rum-heavy, don’t be deterred! They have a nice selection of gin and whiskey-based mixtures as well.

The piña colada-style Cane Suggah will surely have you reminiscing about beach days. Its blissful marriage of sugar apple with coconut, Pisco Demonios, Chalong Bay Cinnamon, agave syrup and orange juice already has us foaming at the mouth! If you’re not a fan of juices, though, we recommend their KL to BKK – straightforward Jamaican rum with Campari, blended with a spice-infused pineapple syrup.

La Casa Nostra

Sathon, Bangkok

Fancy a dinner date somewhere more secluded? La Casa Nostra provides rustic, romantic ambience that you can’t find anywhere else in Bangkok. Located on Soi Goethe in Sathorn, this authentic Italian restaurant and wine bar will have you returning multiple times for its comfortable atmosphere and excellent service.

One of the highlights of the overall dining experience includes a trip down to their very own walk-in cellar. Pick out your own wine with the assistance of the resident sommelier; to dine-in, to take home, or to be delivered to your doorstep.

Chefs Alessandro Frau (of the legendary Acqua Restaurant in Phuket) and Nino Scognamillo believe in upholding the standard of simple yet elegant dishes. Let your taste buds take you to Sicily with their delectable specialties.

Tep Bar

Pom Prap Sattru Phai, Bangkok

Hailed as the Cultural Bar of Thailand, Tep Bar is one of the latest additions to the nightlife scene in Chinatown. The founder, Asawin Rojmethatawee, has a mission to add modern twists to Thailand’s home-brewed herbal liquors, making familiar traditional brews zesty and exciting. Catch musicians taking the stage to play cultural instruments up-close and personal. Surely, after one visit here, you’ll come to appreciate the beauty and richness of Thai culture.

Staying true to the theme, Tep Bar’s drink list is fully scripted with names and terms used in ancient Thai literature. You’ll find a good line of home-infused ya dong (Thai herbal whiskey), as well as their signature set of three shots – Pra ApaimaneeRatchasee Kamram (Roaring Lion), and Phaya Suea Khrong (King of Tiger).

  2. Hello everyone, I just figured to mention one thing I accidentally noticed while scrolling online gaming articles. After another chill PC gaming night, I opened a pretty interesting write-up about a recently launched online casino that according to the article has a stated international gambling license.

I am obviously not trying to advertise some random site, but being a gamer, I found the article worth discussing. The main thing that got my attention was that the article described the casino as available for many regions. Of course, the claim does not mean that anyone can join from literally every place. National regulations still matter, and users should confirm their own laws before depositing.

Still, the positioning sounded really modern. The article said that the platform was made for users from different locations, with tools that feel much more accessible than outdated casino sites. It mentioned about fast sign-up, smooth interface, smartphone support, and several payment systems.

As a PC gamer, I always pay attention to the layout first. When a site is laggy, I usually close it basically immediately. The article made the casino sound polished, which is important because today people are used to high-quality platforms. A outdated interface can destroy even a good service.

The regulation part was also worth noting. There are loads of questionable casino sites everywhere, and a lot of of them throw around big claims without showing much. So when an article focuses on official licensing, that usually makes me read further. But again, personally I would still confirm the license myself before recommending anything.

The article also listed casino game variety. It sounded like the casino has slot games, roulette and blackjack, and streamed table games. I know table games are obviously separate from MMOs, but there is still some shared design language in how apps try to keep players engaged. Things like animations, daily bonuses, and quick feedback loops are visible in both video games.

One thing I appreciated in the article was that it also bring up safe gambling. Player control is serious, because cash are involved. Online fun should stay controlled, not become something unhealthy. The article referred to things like spending limits, pause features, and player protection. In my opinion, any serious casino platform should offer those controls by default.

Another curious part was the international audience. The article made it sound like the brand is not focused on a single market, but on multiple player groups. That sounds interesting, especially for people who travel, but it also means everyone need to be responsible. Cross-border does not automatically mean available everywhere. There are usually unsupported regions, and those lists should be reviewed before creating an account.

I also thought about how casino are becoming more like entertainment hubs. They focus on mobile access, personalization, and smooth use. For older casino websites, the experience sometimes felt messy. But newer ones seem to understand that people expect responsive design. Good UX does not make a casino automatically better, but it does show that the team is at least thinking about convenience.

The transaction side also sounded quite useful. The article explained that the platform supports different transaction options, which helps for global users. But that is another area where people should review the terms. Payment rules are very important, because a site can look polished, but if withdrawals are problematic, then the experience becomes not worth it.

To be clear, I am not really to say this platform is a guaranteed win. I just found the post different because it shows how the online casino industry is evolving. More platforms are trying to look international, and more of them are using modern UX design. For people who follow digital platforms, that is kind of interesting to watch.

Have anyone else here seen similar reviews about modern online casinos? Do you think global regulation actually makes a serious difference, or do you mostly care about withdrawals? I am honestly curious from the gamer perspective, not trying to push anyone. And, of course, whenever someone decides to use any casino site, they should confirm local laws, read the terms, protect their budget, and spend responsibly.
